Mootral finishes 2nd in FT Climate Challenge

Climate Capital Network - May, 2009 - LONDON, UK - One of Climate Capital's portfolio companies finished 2nd in the annual global Financial Times Climate Challenge. Mootral, a new feed additive for livestock industry, helps reduce methane emissions from ruminants such as cows. As such it has been recognised by the Financial Times as one of the top 5 global solutions to tackle climate change. The Financial Times praised its simplicity, sustainability and scalability. More than 400 companies entered the competition, which was judged by global dignitaries such as Sir Richard Branson and 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Dr Pachauri. Michael Mathres co-Founder of Mootral said, "It is obviously disappointing to finish 2nd, but we received a lot of media attention, and interest from the industry."
